<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;">What is Share My Hikes?</span></h3>
<p>Share My Hikes is a hiking destination guide. Like a travel guide, we gather the relevant hiking information one may need while planning a hiking trip. We present the information neatly onto a simple page for our users to make trip references.</p>
<p>We understand that trail conditions may have changed and the hiking information can get outdated overtime. Hence, the guide features an editor function which allows anyone to freely edit and update the hiking contents. <del>To be user-friendly, the editor function can be access without the need of setting up an account, password or userid.</del> </p>
<p>We hope these initiative will welcome fellow hikers to play a part in contributing, updating and editing contents on our articles. This sharing of hiking information will keep the hiking guide updated which benefits the entire hiking community.</p>
<p>Share My Hikes goal is to make hiking trip planning easier and more reliable. There is no longer the need to look through multiple websites or blogpost just to gather information.  </p>

<h3 id="account"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Do I need an account to edit?</span></h3>
<p><del>No, an account is not required.</del> Unfortunately, our site has been previously attacked by spammers resulting in content take down. Hence, starting from June 2016, you will need an account to do edits which you can <a href="https://hikersforlife.com/wp-admin" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">register here</a>.</p>
<p>To make things as easy as possible, you can connect to us through your existing Facebook, Google, Twitter, WordPress, Yahoo or Instagram account. </p>
<p>Connecting through your existing social media accounts will save you the hassle of registering and the need to remember a new set of username and password. We respect your privacy and will not gather unnecessary information or share your personal information to others. <h3 id="howedit"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">How Do I Edit?</span></h3>
<p>After login, simply click on the “edit” button on any Share My Hikes article. You will be brought to the editor where you can make changes to the article. When you are done, click “save” located at the bottom. All changes made goes “live” immediately.</p>

<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;">I have something to contribute, where do I put in the information?</span></h3>
<p>All new hiking destination can be submitted through our “<a href="/sharemyhikes/contribute/">Contribute a Hike</a>”. It does not need to be a Malaysia hike, it can be from anywhere around the world.</p>
